References to traditional crafts that have disappeared from general use are (de)placed in interiors. „Man figures*“ taken from German half-timbered houses, which are usually statically necessary, are deprived of their function and thus become abstract figures and graphic signs. Deep black like charcoal, charred, like the draped skeleton of a burnt building that never existed, the carbonized timbers are surrounded by an uncanny presence. Depending on their position in the space, the „eeriness“ of a clearing emerges between them, haunted by „archaic“ forms – marks that draw themselves, leave traces.
